About the
Festival Jeunesse en Action
The FESTIVAL JEUNESSE EN ACTION de Montréal (FJAM) is an annual event that celebrates music over two days within predominantly Black communities. It showcases rhythms that promote messages of peace, love, joy, forgiveness, and harmony between generations.
Above all, the festival highlights music that conveys a message of unity beyond ethnicity, nationality, age, and culture. Melody becomes a peaceful force that breaks down the barriers of intolerance, exclusion, ignorance, aggression, and racism.
The festival also aims to empower young people by giving them the opportunity to pursue their dreams of performing on stage and bringing joy to the hearts of residents of East Montreal and the surrounding communities.
Together for a Greener Festival
The Festival Jeunesse en Action is proud to collaborate with Ville en Vert to promote eco-responsible practices and reduce our impact on the environment.
