"Drawing on a rich and diverse career, Rebecca Jean's artistic versatility spans from writing to music creation, including collaborations in theatre and film. Her community involvement and social commitment are reflected throughout her artistic work.
Rebecca has lent her pen to various artists, including performers from Star Académie and La Voix. Her influence extends from Montreal (Global News, CBC, RDI) to the international stage (Radio France Internationale, Mediapart, Madinin'art, Chokarella).
With her Antidote tour, she has performed on approximately forty stages, both outdoors (including the Théâtre de Verdure at Parc La Fontaine) and in renowned indoor venues such as Place des Arts and Lion d'Or. Her latest album, Antidote, stands out for the strength and authenticity of its messages.
In 2025, Rebecca Jean published her first children's book, Bébéka et Manana: After the Rain, Beautiful Weather, with Dominique et Compagnie Publishing. The book received a warm welcome at both the Montreal Book Fair and the Montreal Children's Literature Festival.
Her multicultural artistic universe reflects the reality of a Haitian artist born in Quebec. Winner of the Best Female Artist award at the 2024 Prestigious Haitian Music Awards in Miami and recipient of an Honorary Pen at the 2025 Balado Literary Awards, Rebecca gracefully navigates between her two greatest passions: music and literature.
An artist of many talents, this Haitian-Quebecer is also actively involved in the evaluation and promotion of other artists' work. She has been invited to serve as a juror for various organizations in the fields of music, literature, and film, reflecting the recognition of her artistic perspective, both rigorous and sensitive.
Like a bridge connecting the heavens to the earth, and the temporal to the eternal, Rebecca Jean embodies a meeting point toward which people from all walks of life converge. Through her art, she creates a connection between the feminine and the masculine, youth and wisdom, strength and gentleness."
